Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Divorce in neearby state

My spouse and I have never lived together, and we live in different states. Can I file for divorce in a nearby state like New Jersey?

Re: Divorce in neearby state

You should file for divorce either in the state where you live or where your wife lives, or possibly the state where you got married.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line, or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.
