Legal Question in Family Law in New York

divorce ny state..uncontested

i would like to get a divorce and live in NY. my husband & i have not been together for 1 yr. we do not have children or property. the only thing we have is debt. i cannot afford an atty. is there a way i can file myself? if so how & where do i go about obtaining papers for this?

You can file for a divorce pro se. Just fill out the divorce forms and file them in NYS Supreme Court. There is a fee to file the divorce.

The forms can be obtained online at NYS Courts.gov.
