Legal Question in Family Law in New York
I have been trying to get divorce for he past 3 yrs. the lawyer that i hired initially didn't follow through on required paperwork after the court proceeding and so i am still married. because of this my(ex) husband pays child support when he feels like it and also he was to refinance the marital property out of my name or put the house up for sale. this was not done.. because of this my credit is extreem bad for non payment of mortagage and i believe my signature is being forge on document concerning the house. because of his noncompliance i am being inhibited from purchasing another home for myself and kids. also i am getting treats from him now to talk me to court to take my kids. i need help and advice very fast and i pray that i havent waited to long

Go to Family Court and explain the situation to the judge. I suggest you contact that attorney and get something done or something in writing that he/she no longer represents you. Then hire another attorney in the event the Family Court does not wish to proceed.
