divorce- real estate

my father left my mom and 6 children behind in 1975, divorced in 77. mom passed away last year and miraculously he is able to pick up phone and is looking for some money. nener in the past 30 years has he casleed to find out how we were doing health wise school,etc now he has concern. i dont think he has a claim to anything he owes child support he abandoned us and property in 1975

I am sorry about the loss of your Mom.

Your Father, divorced in 1977, is not entitled to any money/property unless they had property jointly titled, such as a house.

What exactly is he claiming?
