Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I want to get a divorce and my wife has a kid that i know is not mine, she is on assistance in a different state which is nj, this kid was just born while we are still married. i want to divorce her in ny. since she is getting assistance in nj can that affect my divorce in ny????
