Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Divorce

Its over a year and divorce is not done. My lawyer says that I have to pay for my soon to be ex's legal bills. Is that law? or am I being misled?

There is not enough information to give you an accurate response. However, there are instances where one spouse pays the other spouse's legal fees.
