Legal Question in Family Law in New York
I am a divorced father of two kids. I pay my ex $5200 a year in child support. Per my seperation agreement. I agreed to pay her half of all uncovered medical expenses for the kids. such as half of copays for medications etc.My question to you is, Does my ex have a legal right to send me bills for things such as yearbooks, soccer equipment, prom tickets, etc etc.it is my opinion that all these extras should be considered child support. My ex wife makes four times as much money as i do. and i do the best i can, with ,and for my kids.

A complete answer cannot be given without reviewing the agreement.
However, yearbook, soccer equipment, and prom tickets are not "uncovered medical expenses." Therefore, if she is using this provision as a basis for forcing you to pay these extras, you have a strong case to refuse to pay. However, there may be other provisions in the agreement that obligate you to pay for these matters.
