Divorced parents' responsibility for payment of child's college tuition and expe

Please advise if New York is a state in which it is mandatory for parents to pay for a child's college-related expenses.

Only if the parties are divorced. Which has

always struck me as ripe for an equal protection

argument There are outs under the statute

and limitations as to amounts but New York

is a state where the court can impose such

obligation
