Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I'm getting divorced and my wife left me 7 years ago. 4 years ago she inherated several thousand dollars. am i entitled to any of this money?

No. Inheritance is not subject to equitable distribution.

No, inheritances and gifts are not marital property.

This is so especially not when parties are separated and the funds were never used in the marriage, e.g., used for purchases of marital property or placed into a joint account, which would tend to show an intent to share the funds.
