regarding divorce

i would like to know, how long does it take for divorce processing to be final under the new law, and also how much is teh court fee, in new york state, i only ask because i dont have much money, i need to find out the lowest fee everything will cost me, thanks

The courts are slowing down due to personnel retirements, judicial retirements, and the onslaught of new no-fault cases. The total court fees for an uncontested divorce are $335 plus $8 for a certified copy of the judgment. If you are receiving public assistance, you may be eligible for a waiver of court fees.
