Domestic Relations Order

I was married to my ex husband for 15 years. He was a corrections officer for NY state and we have 3 children together. He fell under Tier 3. He went out on total disability before our divorce. We divorced in 1998. At the time I was told by the lawyers I was ineligible for a portion of his pension. How can I find out if this is true and whether I can get a pension for me and my children.

If the Judgment of Divorce was entered in 1998, it is too late to demand equitable distribution of your ex-husband's pension.
