Domestic violence

Can charges be dropped if the person was arrested. Violence btw. Husband and wife. Wife gets arrested. She used self defense

Once an arrest is effectuated the State Of N.Y. is the complainant. Your local D.A. will not likely drop the charges .The husband might help persuade such an outcome.
