Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Estates
I am currently going through an estate settlement where my step dad intended on me having the co op I already live in. The other will beneficiaries already signed off their rights to the co op to me, but the co op is actually owed by, half my step dad, and half his real son who embessled over 2 million from my step dad and his business. The real son was written out of the will. How do we get owership in my name without having the son gain from his dishonesty? We have won a judgement against the son but haven't been able to collect. Over 90 thousand was the judgement. My lawyers have crapped out so far. Help please.
Thank you
John

Re: Estates
You may be able to pursue his interest in the coop shares. If your attorneys are not getting the job done, you should present all of the relevant information to someone else for a second opinion. Suggest you do that as soon as possible or risk losing what recourse is still available.
