Re: Exs' new husband slaps my daughter
If the incident occurred while your daughter and her stepfather were in school, the principle should be advised. And, you can insist that the matter be addressed, by the school personnel, via investigation, censor and so forth, as the principle/or Board, may deem necessary.
If the alleged incident occurred while your daughter was with her mother, in her home; or with her complicity, then you should you need to discuss this matter with your daughter's mother, before you can decide whether to proceed to another forum.
In your discussions with your EX, suggest that you specifically REGQUEST that your EX not permit her spouse to hit, spank, beat or otherwise discipline or punish your daughter, in any way.
Suggest that you consider the possibility that all of you (your EX, her spouse, You & your daughter) may need parenting classes and counseling.
If you and your Ex are unable to resolve your parent/child conflict and hitting issue, w/o State intervention, as suggested. A Court, will likely enter an Order for same, in addition to possibly disrupting your daughter's life, even further.
Good luck,
