Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Hello. My soon to be exwife just called me and said that she received a letter saying I have to be in family Court Feb 7 now I haven't been served what will happen if there is a court date and I do not show?

If you do not appear and if there is proof of service introduced you will likely lose the case on default.
