Facing a domestic voilence case.....Will it effect my job background check
I'm facing a domestic voilence case, I have no arrest and no criminal back ground and record. I have a good job offer, I'm afraid if this will come up in the background check. Please tell me that if I have no arrest and criminal back ground , just a domestic voilence case..... will it come up in the criminal background check.

Domestic violence cases can be handled in many different courts.
If the domestic violence case is in Family Court, and/or in Supreme Court by way of a divorce, this would not appear on any criminal record check.
However if you were arrested and appeared in a Town, Village, City or County Court, and a District Attorney was present, in all likelihood this was a criminal matter and there would be an arrest record.
On a job application, they can never ask you whether or not you were arrested, only if you have been convicted of a crime.

The answer depends upon which court has jurisdiction. If the case is part of a divorce resolution, then there will be no criminal consequences. If the case is in District,Village, Criminal,or perhaps Supreme Court then the answer may change. Prospective emoloyers can only question convictions not arrests.
