Would I still have to pay child support if I gave up my rights as a parent

If the decision is unilateral (ie. you yourself decide that you do not want to be a parent), then the answer is that you would still have to pay child support.

If the decision is based on an adoption (ie. the child is adopted by another party), then the answer is that you would not have to pay child support.
