Legal Question in Family Law in New York

family court/divorce

I have alread started divorce proceedings. I did not want a divorce to start with - he did. Can I stop the divorce process now? We have already had 1 preliminary conference; next one is in Dec. I have already been through the child support court and the custody/visitation has been documented. Monies are being paid through a wage deduction order.

You may voluntarily discontinue an action under NY CPLR 3217 by submitting a stipulation to discontinue signed by your husband, or by filing a motion with the Court for an order to discontinue.
