Legal Question in Family Law in New York

family eviction; false report to cps

my family is living with my stepfather and mother, who are both ill. stepdad is bashing us to my siblings, who have falsely reported us to child services. How do I protect my family? How does eviction amongst family work? we have lived together for 9 months. It is my parents' house. We are trying to move out this week; but we have been threatened and my mother is in need of nursing home care. Stepfather even refuses to get a home health aide to help her; she has a terminal disease. No sibling help, either. I am afraid for mom's safety once we leave. Help!

Re: family eviction; false report to cps

You need to move to have a guardian appointed for your mom. See an Elder Law attorney for help. If you don't know one or need a referral try Findlaw.com or the State Bar Association.

Good Luck.
