Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I am a father to a 2 year old son, i am not with his mother and was never married to the mother. I pay her a monthly child support payment, 17% of my pay. I have my son, 3 nights a week, which i pay for all his food, shelter, and clothes. Do i pay too much?
