Fathers legal rights
do single fathershave the same legal rights to their child as married fathers?

In general, yes. The only difference is that husbands are presumed to be the father of the children, while unmarried fathers must first establish paternity.

Single fathers are entitled to visits and joint custody as well as married fathers.
