Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Does fault matter in asset division
Does it matter who is at fault when it comes to dividing assets such as property?
Is the ''at fault'' person penalized by receiving a lower percentage?

Under most circumstances fault is not an issue in equitable distribution.

If Domestic Violence is found, fault may determine "equity" in the division of assets.
