in the state of ny can you file a no fault divorce?

NO. NY Does not have "NO FAULT" DIVORCE. NY is a "FAULT" State.
The closest thing in NY, to "no fault" is a "conversion" divorce. Which is a divorce based upon the parties living separate for a period per an agreement to live separately.

In N.Y. you can get a "no-fault" divorce by being separate and apart pursuant to a separation agreement for a period of one year. There are also much quicker "uncontested" divorces which can be effectuated. For more info you may call my office @718-834-0087.
