Legal Question in Family Law in New York
my fiance and i want to get married. he has backed up child support which he is trying to resolve but he wants to hire a lawyer in the near future to help him resolve many issues bc we live in NY but the case is in Chicago iL
we want to know if we get married, do i need to include my income towards his current or future child support payments?

No, you will have to disclose your income but it should not be included in the calculation. Only if the court imputes some of your income, due to a benefit to him, would your income become an issue. Contact an attorney in Chicago to determine the extent of your exposure.
