where can we file for divorce?

We married in New York State in 1998.

We are legal residents in Spain since February 1999.

We don't own property in New York. We never lived in New York together.

Are there residency requirements for filing in New York?

Where do we file for divorce?

You can't file for divorce in New York. You don't meet the residency requirements. You will have to get some advice on the divorce laws of Spain.
