Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have filed for divorce in NY. I served him by publication, as I have not seen him in 6 years. No joint property, kids, etc. His 30 days to answer are up on aug 1st. To my knowledge, I have filed all the remaining paperwork, and it seems the court is satisfied with what I provided. What exactly happens next? Will I need to see a judge? Is there a waiting period after the 30 days? How soon could this be completed?

The clerk at the court hung up on me when I tried to ask her!

Thank you so much for your help, I am doing this by myself and it is a lot to muddle through!

When the judge granted your motion to proceed by publication, he/she gave you an order directing you on how and where to publish. Once that is done as per the order, you can proceed with your default action.
