Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Filing for divorce

HI. I have signed my divorce papers and so has my (ex) husband in June of 2006. There are no issues, no children, no property. We were only married for 1 1/2 years. The divorce atty has all the papers and the index number, but refuses to file the papers in court. What is the reasonable amount of time he can hold those papers on his desk. He keeps promising to do it, but has not, as of yet. Since there were no fights and issues, we used one atty. If I get another one now, I am afraid my ex will not sign them. I have called time and time again and he just doesnt answer my calls or says...I

will get to it thisz week. This has been goinf on since June. There has to be a reasonable amount of time that he can push me off and I was told that I could write a letter to the Bar Assn. I really don't want to do all this...I just want my divorce to be final. Please help!!!!
