Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Cant' Find Husband

My husband moved out of NY March 2004, I have not heard anything from him since September 19, 2004. I want to get a divorce but have no idea where he is. His family has not heard from him as well. How can I get a divorce if I dont have an address? If I need an address, how can I find him?

Re: Cant' Find Husband

This is not a problem. I do this on a regular basis.

You must make an 'investigation' and, if you find no record of his whereabouts, you may serve him by running a newspaper ad (service by publication). The type of investigation is very specific.

I can explain all of the requirements in a 15 minute meeting. We can call it a 'free consultation'. Give me a call and we can make an appointment (email is best).

The consultation is free and I will explain the procedure to you in 15 minutes.
