how can my friend separate from her boyfriend that is a squatter without evictin

My friend has been liveing with her boyfriend for about 5 years, He is abusive physicly and verbally.She owns the house and has tried to make him leave more than once and he wont go,she has also went to get help from several places and they keep telling her the same thing,That the only ways to make him leave is to have him evicted or arrested but she is afriad he will kill her,he has threaten this before and also said he would burn the house down. Also he doesnt pay rent or pay any bills or anything and has never had a real job sinse he lived there,he moved in with a garbage bag or clothes and she if force to buy him everything.Is there any other way that she can make him leave other then evicting him or getting him arrested?

This is a criminal matter. The next time he strikes her, she must have the police arrest him.

Another option is to find a really big guy to accompany her home and ask the fellow to leave. Sometimes bullies just walk away when confronted.

Start by going to a women's shelter for advice. They can give very specific help.
