Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I had full legal custody. Father filed for custody. We were preparing for trial. Father took our daughter to Indiana and got a temporary emergency custody order. Came back to NY and registered it here. Father now has full custody here in NY. I have nothing. Need to know how I can have the Indiana court\'s decision reversed.

More information is needed especially:

1. Where is the trial.

2. Where was the original custody order.

3. How long was daughter in Indiana.

Based on your facts, it seems that the Indiana Court did not have jurisdiction to rule on custody. Therefore, I would present the issue to the New York Family Court. The Judge in New York may contact the Judge in Indiana to clarify Indiana's Order.

Mike.
