Legal Question in Family Law in New York
The girl I dated shortly ended up pregnant. I'm rather confident it was by me.I told her I will pay child support with no problem, however I do not want any involvement with the child nor her. Out of mere spite, she WANTS me to have joint custody in hopes a judge will force me to mandatory time with the child on weekends or every other weekend. I do not want that. I simply want to agree to the amount of money needed for child support, pay it monthly and be left alone. Is there any way I can be FORCED legally to spend time with the child or her via Joint custody even if before a judge I refuse to agree to those terms? I don't believe there is such a work around unless I agreed to having the child a certain number of days, however I do not want it at all. She has already said she would refuse to having sole custody in order to keep me legally bonded to them.

A. No.
I suggest you contest paternity and have the Family Court order a DNA test.
