my girl friend that lives in colombia is wishing to divorce her husband that lives in new york ,how can she go about this

She can file through an attorney in New York or by whatever the procedure is in Colombia.

Assuming that the boyfriend lived in New York for over 2 years, she may commence an action in New York seeking a divorce. It is much easier to employ a lawyer for that purpose.
