Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My girlfriend and I are contemplating marriage, She has a son from a prior relationship. Right now her and her significant other have joint custody and neither pay child support. I make a substantial amount of money more than both her and her prior partner. He is 6 years old. My question is if her son were to opt to leive with her Ex full time and she was responsible for support would the courts just use her income or household income both hers and mine to calculate child support. Bottom line I dont want to be on the hook for alot of money in child support to a child that is not mine. Thank - You in advance.

The courts should only look at her income. You have no obligations to the child - and marriage does not create the legal obligation.
