Legal Question in Family Law in New York
my ex girlfriend"s lawyer is trying to say that i abandoned my daughter because i have not seen her in three years. there was never in any family court a child support in place. i never sent her any money via a mail. i have tried numerous times to contact the mother via phone & e-mails to establish contact with my daughter, but she never responds back. my question is can the court deny me visitation, & what are the New York state laws on abandonment. thank you!
