Legal Question in Family Law in New York
my grand daughter is 16 years old and does not want to stay with her mother. they live in florida.
is she old enough, legally, to choose who she wants to live with ? and do i have to go to court in order to have her come to n y and liver with us, her grandmother and grandfather

As long as the parents of the child has legal custody you have no standing ("the right") to challenge a parental decision.
