Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Grandfather petioning court for visitation rights
My father whom I have been estranged from for the past 18 months is threatneing to take me to family court in order to demand visitation rights to see my two children. Does he have any legal grounds to demand visitation if I do not feel it is in the best interest of myself or my children to be forced to visit with him?

grandparents do have rights but the best interests of the children are always paramount
