Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I am the grandmother of my twin grandsons and I am going for custody of them. There mother is about to marry a pedophile and there father is an abusive druggie. I have had them for two years. When I got them they were abused and neglected. I want to know what my chances are of getting them.
