harassment by a government agenecy
my daughter was sexually abused by my girlfriends ex boyfriend and they have yet to prove anything ever happened. the case was picked up by albany county dept. of social services. we did not here from them for about 7 months. they now want to talk to me, which is fine but they are showing up at our door unannounced and on weekends. we have custody of my daughter. when i try to call them i get an answering machine. what are the laws regarding haressment in this kind of matter?

You should never speak to a social service department investigator without an attorney present. They have a way of twisting your words.
Additionally if you do not answer the door when they "pop" in then they will say you are ignoring them and could use that to try to strip your child from you.
I strongly urge you to seek counsel immediately so as to protect your child from the predator and the government.
