If a person gets divorced,would a spouse be able to stay on their spouse's health insurance upon request?

It's legally possible, but would have to be negotiated as part of a divorce agreement or ordered by a judge.

No, because they are no longer part of the "family" plan, best you can do is COBRA and negotiate to have spouse pay for it for 18 mos!

After that, they can NOT stay on plan.
