Legal Question in Family Law in New York

hearing on wife taking kids to ireland

My ex-wife wants to take my children out of the country for 3 weeks to visit her relatives in Ireland. She did not ask me before booking the trip. Five years ago, she took the kids to a neighboring state to live closer to her sister without my consent and I have battled for custody since then to no avail. Once she set up residence there and got the kids in school, it seemed it was a no-win situation for me. Now she wants to take the kids to another country. and didn't even tell me until after she bought the tickets. I have a hearing tomorrow regarding my concerns. Any suggestions on how to handle the hearing since I am representing myself?

They say the person who represents themself has a fool for a client. Hire an attorney to safeguard your interests. This is a serious matter. I would use whatever resources I had to make sure I had superior representation where my children are concerned.
