Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Hello!

My father died last month. The same day he died his brothers called their attorney he came to the house and he took our money from the safe,jewelery and the car keys. I was not there. Is this legal?

Did your father have a Will leaving everything to them? If not then they are clearly in the wrong. Without a Will everything would go to his wife and if he was not married at the time of his death then everything would go to his children in equal shares. You should consult with an attorney immediately.
