Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Hiring a lawyer

this is my situation: child lives in NY with mother. I'm in the military so i move around every 2 or 3yrs can i hire a lawyer in which ever state i'm in if i get a NY court order ? see this lady continues to drag me to court every 3 years or so, i have used jag before but all they can do is help me fill out paper work but they can't represent me in court. second question; when the judge asked her how much she pays in child care she said 600 a month the kid is 10yrs old.i'm sure she pays less than that for him. she has a child from her previous marriage which i think she is adding that into this calculation. can she do that? will the judge take into consideration that she has to pay daycare for another kid that is not mine and if so will the judge take into consideration that i have a 2yr old?

Re: Hiring a lawyer

You need an attorney licensed in New York.

You are not responsible for paying the daycare of her other child. If it is included you are entitled to a credit.

Thank you for your service.
