Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My soon to be ex husband is carrying my health insurance. We have been separated for 4 months. Until the divorce is final I can NOT pick up my own health insurance thru my employer (I need a qualifying event - such as divorce) Does he have any obligation to continue my health coverage until the divorce is final?

Actually yes, he does have the obligation to keep your health insurance in force until the end of the divorce action. You need your attorney to make a motion to the court for violation of the standing order under the domestic relations law.
