Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My husband and myself live on the property of hisparents. His dad wrote us a letter saying that we are no longer allowed in the house. His mom said we could. is this letter legal?

He will need to start eviction proceedings but if both parents are listed on the deed and one of them is allowing you to stay he will have a problem getting you out.
