Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Husband did not pay credit cards as stipulated

The divorce agreement stipulated my ex-husband was to pay all of the outstanding balances on the credit cards. The credit cards were in my name. He did not pay. I do not have money to go back to court. I have been told by my credit card companies a court cannot make him responsible to pay. What avenues can I follow and shouldn't by Attorney have known this before suggesting this type of agreement?

Check the agreement to see if it contains a counsel fee clause if you have to enforce the agreement.

Suggest you consult with an experienced matrimonial attorney.

I practice in NYC and Long Island.
