Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My husband's sister has a J.D. but is not licensed to practice law. They've had a falling-out and he told her not to contact him in any way. She is demanding a sworn affidavit from him stating that. Is this legal and can she demand that? Thanks for your help.

There is nothing illegal about it but he is not obligated to supply it. He also can not stop her from contacting him without an order of protection. If she persists, he can attempt to have her charged with harassment. As for the J.D., that is just a degree, nothing more.
