Does an incarcerated parent pay child support while in jail in NY? Does the state do anything for custodial parents on the outside when an income-producing parent is in jail?

First, even if the person is incarcerated, the child support obligation does not go away and it is counted against arrears. Second, no there is no accommodation but you can apply for social services if you qualify.
