inheritance real estate during a divorce

my ex and i r trying to get divorce and my parents left me a home before i got married, which in turn I had rented during our marriage. of course my ex enjoyed our extra income as i did, but now that I'm getting divorce, will he be entitled to any part of the real estate?

In New York, inheritances are usually treated as separate property, not part of the marital estate. However, there can be exceptions - you should consult with an attorney in your area to see if any apply to your case.
