Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have joint custody of our three children who live with my ex....to pay for them to travel to me when they are on their school breaks is very costly--does the "other half" have to contribute to the traveling expenses. It is over 400 miles one way! i reside in Virginia, the other half in new york.

That issue should have been resolved in the child support or custody order. If it hasn't been resolved and if the two of you cannot come to some type of agreement on this minor issue, you may have to file a motion to modify child support to let the judge resolve it.
