Legal Question in Family Law in New York

If I was laid off a year and was and still is paying child support, when and if a modification to have child support reduced, is there anyway to recoupe that money that I have been over paying?

No. I realize it is a simple answer but that is just the way it is. The court will not make the custodial parent pay the funds back.
